Clinical Supervisors
No matter where you are in your career, The Social Work Academy has a variety of offerings to suit your needs. In my years of providing Clinical Supervision, I've learned that everyone processes information differently, has different ways of learning information, and it is important for us to be able to adapt to that.
The Social Work Academy (TSWA) was founded with Clinical Supervisors in mind. The goal of TSWA is to provide Clinical Supervisors, new and old, the resources and education that is needed to create successful leaders and supervisors. Naturally, this then builds the next round of Licensed Clinical Social Workers in the field.
Starting out as a Clinical Supervisor is SCARY and not knowing where to start multiplies that fear x100! When I first got started, I had no idea what I was doing but I knew that I needed to support my supervisees through a world of learning. As I sought out peer support from other Clinical Supervisors, I found that others felt just as ill equipped as I did in the Clinical Supervision space.
Now I know I've made mistakes and I have learned a lot over years but if there is one thing that I know that I've gotten right, it's how to be an effective and capable Clinical Supervisor.
Regardless of why you're here, I hope you find the support and/or resources you need.
