My 3 Favorite Side Hustles
Jun 12, 2022
It’s no secret that Side Hustles are the next thing. Everyone, everywhere is searching high and low for ways to make some extra cash or just have more disposable income. What’s the old saying, “never put all your eggs in one basket”? Well, I like to have multiple baskets at all times just because you never really know what is going to happen.
With the recent events over the last few years, we have gone through lots of changes. People lost their jobs due to a worldwide pandemic that had tons of people scrounging the earth, high and low, for ways to make income and fast. Now, I do have another blog post on legitimate remote jobs and where to look for them and you can find that here
, but this post is all about my 3 favorite side hustles for consistent income!
1: Blogging - I mean, you knew it was coming, right? I’m a blogger and know how lucrative it can be and honestly, it can be done with a free website, Pinterest and a few YouTube videos to teach you some basics and you’re good to go. The thing I love about blogging is that it can be done in so many ways, for little to no upfront cost and you get out of it what you put into it. Are you creative? Are you a good story teller? Do you like to take pictures? Do you like to create videos? That is the beauty here. Blogging can mean Vlogging, it can mean being a social media influencer or running a traditional blog on the internet. However you choose to do it, brands are willing to pay big bucks for content.
2: Another lucrative and flexible side hustle is doing work like Instacart, DoorDash, Ubereats, etc. let’s be honest, we all rely heavily on the fast service of food delivered right to your door when you don’t feel like cooking but the kids are hungry so someone’s gotta get dinner and DoorDash is at your service. I know of many people that have not only created consisted income for their families by doing deliver services when they had the time, but I also know of several people that truly enjoyed driving and shopping and so picked up one of these services as a side hustle and paid off over 50k in debt in less than a year… like, what??? Tell me what your excuse is again?
3: Create an online course and sell it! Okay, hear me out because I always hear people say, “but I don’t have anything to teach and now you’re telling me to create a course and sell it?” Yes, yes I am. There are literally courses out there being sold on everything you could possibly think of. Want to learn how to hit a damn baseball? There is a course out there right now being sold to thousands or millions of people to teach them how to hit a baseball. Want to learn how to cook Asian cuisine? There is an online course out there that will teach you. I could go on and on but I’m sure you get the hint here. Anything, literally anything that you have some knowledge on could be bottled up, put on an online platform and you have a course!
Now, I want to emphasize here that obviously none of the above are a get rich quick scheme because that’s not what I am about. But know that there are options out there as long as you are willing to work at it a bit. It truly is all about how much you are willing to put into it to reap the benefits of your labor.
